What can you say about a place that's completely empty all evening and serves terrible food in a riot of glaring 1967 chintz? Blobs of overcooked meat with chips piled on top and a pile of rice sitting in a puddle of salty sauce? It's a disgrace. Waiters that ignore you and blaring lift music that they won't turn down. No comment made when most of the inedible food is left. Maybe in the past this had a decent chef and some pretense at being a restaurant, but that's long gone. Probably aimed at tourists like us who don't know enough to avoid it.

This is one place that we always go every time we come to Chile. The food is great, not to mention the Pisco Sours. The staff is wonderful. We once went for lunch, before they were open, but the staff let us in anyways. Love the Aji de Gallina.

Pisco Sours are muy bien. Nice outside dinning. Friendly atmosphere. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Chile. Its located in a shopping area which could make for a very convenient day/night transition. The local beer,Kunstmann Bock was outrageous.

for the one week that i was in santiago i made this restaurant my home base from the bartender to the owner to the manager i made friends and was guided by them to whatever i needed around the city plus the restaurant was centrally located in the bellavista district where one could easy head to nightclubs, discos, other bars and come back for a quiet drink at el sitio otra in between their food was delicious and i highly recommend the choclo....... a special peruvian large kerneled corn that they use in several of their dishes david m from nyc
