Zazá Bistrô Tropical, Rio de Janeiro

We have been going to Zaza's for more than 7 years and will NEVER return. Unfortunately, Zaza's now has very arrogant person meeting you at the door, only willing to seat you outside. Arriving at 7:30 as normal, we were told only reservations are honored for inside setting. We were previously always informed there is no need for reservations arriving at 7:30. After our meal ended at 8:45, there were only 2 individuals inside, the remaining tables were empty. Although the food and service is good, it is not worth dealing with the reception. Too bad, this once great place is now a NOT TO GO TO location.

Zaza is one of my favorite spots in Rio. Go upstairs and sit, shoeless, on a pillow. Order a few of their delicious appetizers and start drinking Caipirinhas. Try a strawberry one or three. Be there with a good friend or a date and you will have a memorable evening, i promise.

I cant picture a place (although I know many locals may suggest) more romantic than Zaza. awesome food, awesome deco, awesome night. well worth the money.

It is the most cute and romantic restaurant on earth! The chicken curry is delicious , besides it is organic... You can't miss it! The ambiance is unique, with candles lights and the sound track has very good taste...

Amazing intimite place just a stone-length away from ipanema beach! This is the most intimite restaurant you can find near ipanema beach, excellent food en wine to be graving for!!

I like Zaz�, been there several times. Definitely the upstairs is the better place to eat, although that requires that your party be of four or bigger, I think. The drinks are good, if expensive (espcially the Margarita, which is tasty but small), and the foood is reliably good, although it seems that sometimes the dishes take too long to get on the table, which is evident with the fried appetizers, for example.
