Very good service, quality, quickness receiving food, inexpensive. Had sandwiches in less than 5 minutes, waiter recognized us and we did not even have to order the last day

Had a full meal and snuck a take away on my to the airport too. The food is delicious the staff friendly and the prices very reasonable. There is a theme of pineapple with everything but it is delicious with cooked meats offered, portions are large and deserts are also superb. This was my favourite place to eat in Rio overall, some of the smart Ipanema restaurants are good also but Cervantes is the only one I remember the name of and I guess that says something too.

Cervantes is a local Rio institution and has been for many years. I am a huge fan of filet,cheese, and pineapple sandwich with fries. The menu is vast with heavy or lite meals depending on what you want.The beer is always cold and your sandwhich comes out in a few minutes and is piping hot. Also, I suggest an expresso after your meal, one of the best in Rio.

I had the fillet mignon with pineapple sandwich and it was fantastic! The meat was very tender and flavorful. The food is very inexpensive and the service is excellent. Next time I'm in Rio I'll be back!

This is a Stand up bar Restaurant, best time to go is after a hard night partying. But anytime is a good time to go, It’s a long narrow bar with just about enough room to pass someone by. There sandwiches are to die for, My fave is pork and pineapple and a chopp/cerveja (small glass of draught beer). I’ve been going to and recommended this restaurant for over 20 years and have not had a complaint yet. If you go late at night take a cab.
