Estancia (La), Lavalle

La Estancia is one of my favorites in Buenos Aires. It is located on the energetic pedestrian street Lavalle, and the energy from outside seamlessly transitions into the restaurant. The prices are good (quite cheap for foreigners) and the food is excellent. I recommend trying chivito...you won't be disappointed! One possible criticism is the service at La Estancia, but my experience could be unique, and possibly misinterpreted. I went to La Estancia twice with my wife, and the service was really excellent...second to none. Another time, however, I went with my wife�s family, all native porte�os. We were all speaking Spanish at the table, and I noticed a marked drop off in the quality of service...I got the feeling that foreign tourists may be treated better than locals. However, this could just have been one rude waiter. Overall, I highly recommend La Estancia as a wonderful establishment in the heart of Buenos Aires.
