Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World, Auckland

I have been to Kelly Tarltons HEAPS of times, I just can't get enough of it!!! I got a pass as soon as I could, and it is definately worth it!!! Kelly Tarlton's has a HUGE range of things related to water animals. There are just so many options! You could go to Stingray Bay and gat a chance to see stinrays up close!!! You could go through the Shark Tunnel and see Sharks, Turtles and Fish!!! Or last but certainly NOT least you could go on the Arctic Explorer and see penguins, chicks and eggs!!! Kelly Tarltons is AWESOME go there and try it!!! Maybe you'll be like me and just can't help getting a pass!!!

i really liked Kelly Tarlton's. this is the place you get to see penguins! for real! it's very close from the city - easier for tourists to go. i really liked kelly tarlton's but i think it would be boring to go there again.

This place is cool the penguins are a bit boring if you ask me but the giant stingrays and sharktank are boss. Great place for kids or family. Vince Meehan -USA

The ride around the penquins, was excellent, but would have liked the opportunity to go around a couple of more times. The tunnel was good, and you could go around as many times as you wished. Of course it isn't Sea World, not all good things have to be "Bigger and Better". For the amount of space they had, it was used to the maximum. 2nd best bit after the penquins, was watching the divers hand feeding the fish. I will definatly go again, on my next visit to New Zealand. And I believe there is a New Feature. - Share a pool with stingrays.

This is a great place to take kids, however adults will also enjoy Kelly Tarlton's. We saw the feeding of the sting rays which was really neat. We were told if you look into it in advance you can help feed them. I would love to do this, and I encourage anyone wanting to do this to give them a call.

Breath taking the year i could not enjoy something getting that much of it, ahh just speech less it is going to get closer to them

Kelly Tarlton's is unique. It used to be a water treatment plant and the city gave it to Kelly Tarlton to convert to an "Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World." You can see a film of the work involved to do the conversion. You can also see lots of penguins on a tram ride and many, many types of underwater life as you walk through the site. The walk is through a circular tube so the fish are next to you, as well as over your head. It's not high-tech, but it's pretty neat. Don't miss the fantastic view of the Auckland skyline from the pier.

my daughter loved it had a blast want to go back again. Nothing compared to sea world but very nice

i loved my experience at Kelly Tarlton's Antartic and Underwater World, I would live there if I could. I have never been to such a great place! You rock!The penguins were so cute as were the seals.

If you have been to Sea World give this place a pass. There wasn't much to see and most of the place seemed to be under construction while I was there. Definitely not worth the money.
