A group of four friends dined at Shahi. From the moment we entered the premises the attentive service, the earthy , modern, contemporary decor made us feel good , being in the restaurant. We ordered a bottle of Huia gewurztraminer.I must say their wine list was far... superior to most of the Indian restaurants i have been to.The menu was balanced and the little tag lines at the end of each dish was not only entertaining, but funny.
We had two mixed platter and they were sumptuous.Meat offerings on it was tender and tasty, the vegetarian morsels were beautiful.Mixed Platter comprised of chicken tikka, seekh kebeb, samosa and mixed bhajjia.
For the main course we had four dishes along with the nan and raite.Prawn malabari was to die for.Butter chicken out of the world.Saag ghost was divine and the dairy free offering of Panchtara korma was great.Unusual to find indian restaurant with dairy free offering.
All in all a great and wonderful experience that we could not even contemplate dessert because we were so replete by the taste sensations at Shahi.
