So awesome to see this world-wide famous landmark in person! Beautiful artitecture!!
There are tours available, but we just walked into lobby and up steps outside...took many photos...great view of city skyline from on top of Opera House steps!
Also located right next to docks (take a cruise and get another great view of Opera House!) entrance to Royal Botanic Gardens.
Ok so basically this place is the coolest, i must say that if you go to Sydney and don't go to this joint, then you ain't "G" playa. You down with that? so yea get down with the get downs and roll all around, and you will see too that its oh so sweet.
What I love about the Sydney Opera House is more than I can write in this review. I will say, it always welcomed me. I was a part of it. The people, the food & drink, the atmosphere...the memories, all are very special. The opera I attended, the many little dinners, and a fantastic Christmas celebration, not to mention a breath-taking NYE that still moves me beyond comprehension. Visit this place with your spirit open and ready to absorb every breath and site.
I was fortunate to be able to actually see an opera (Mdme Butterfly) in the Opera House in a very short visit to Sydney. I can't wait to go back. The accoustics are fantastic, the seats roomy and comfortable, and the elegance of the opera down under is well worth the time. The tickets were a bit pricey but, then again, I sat in the 10th row center on the main floor so who am I to complain. I also took a tour of the whole complex which was beyond my expectations. I strongly recommend the Opera House as a stop on any visit to Sydney.
It was absolutly beautiful!! I had dreamed about goin there my whole life. When I layed my eyes on it, it was just spectacular!! The opera my husband and I was just as good. You see my husband took me here as a suprise for my birthday. It was so romantic!
But i would definatley recommend it to anyone!! It was a great experience and I loved it!! Go and see for yourself!! It is definatley worth it!!
The Sydney Opera House, as it is magnificently designed by Danish architect Joern Utzon, is a masterpiece that describes real artistry. In fact, it was voted as best design among the 230 designs by architects from 33 countries.
Truly, I fell in love with the beauty of Sydney Opera House the first time I personally saw it. Spending time, money and effort to see it is worthwhile. The beautiful view that surrounds it is refreshing. Life is so beautiful to be where the Opera House is. It is fun and you will temporarily forget your worries. You could also see the diversity of Sydney as evidence by the millions of tourist that come to visit it everyday.
Sydney Opera House, a highly recommendable place to see.
Can you be in Sydney and NOT see this place? It rocks!

Okay, it's pretty ugly inside, but who cares...the location is prime. The view of the bridge will keep you making happy snappies until your fingers hurt. I saw a domestic drama, and while the production values were awesome, the show was zzz zz zz zzzz. But who cares, I'm in the opera house! The seats are narrow and hard, and there will be lots of snoring since the shows generally are pedestrian. Don't forget to do the dinnner boat that docks nearby, and then walk that lovely short walk to the opera house for your show. You can book the play or dance or opera you want to see online, very easy. AND please don't be afraid of the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb, that was the best exercise and headrush, well worth the price. When it comes to the Opera House, don't skimp, shell out the aussie dollars and see a show, any show...doesn't matter that you will want to leave at intermission. by the way, you can preorder your drinks before the show, so you don't have to stand in long llines at intermission. But if you want edgy theatre, this would not be the place for you. If you like safe and institutional, stick to the opera house.
