Boardwalking it
In March we made our first visit to AC and spent 19 straight hours walking up and down the Boardwalk, visiting shops, casinos and various activities on the Boardwalk. Let's face it, we are talking about a large, wooden sidewalk - so it's more about where than what.
It's on the ocean so the views alter with time of day, but photo ops abound.
It's on the backside of most of the casinos in town, including a couple new ones - so you can get fresh air traveling slot to table to slot (though you can cut thru many casinos for the air conditioning).
There are rolling chairs available for rides all day and night all - but if you have a bad back you may want to hold off, as it is a very bumpy ride - but can be exciting too! Pick a good 'pusher' with music or personality and you'll like the ride. There are tons of things to see and do on the Boardwalk.
One thing I did notice and others have complained about - the homeless. Well, they are in every city - so help or leave it be - but in AC they can, by permit, panhandle on the Boardwalk. I found some to be rather entertaining as they sang for your spare change. Some are funny. And a couple I'd keep my grandchild away from.
There are cats too. But don't feed them or try to take them home. It is a community program and the homeless will give the cats their loves. This also can make a great photo op. Take the Boardwalk for what it is and enjoy it.
