We-Ko-Pa Golf Club - Saguaro, Fort McDowell

The Saguaro Course opened in December 2006 as the second club built at the stunning We-Ko-Pa Golf Club. Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw designed a desert golf experience unlike any other. The Saguaro does not have the elevation changes built into the Cholla . Instead, it follows the natural contours of the land and will challenge golfers as they approach the greens. Integrating design elements not commonly found in the desert, the course is built for walking and has more in common with older, more traditional courses where greens are close to tees. The course measures 6,966 yards from the back tees, and there are motorized bag caddies to assist walking golfers. Opens daily at 7am.
