Description

The Royal Botanic Gardens, a veritable oasis of greenery, boasts breath-taking views of Sydney Harbour and the city skyline. The gardens were the first area of cultivated land on the Australian continent and are home to The Sydney Tropical Centre with the Pyramid Glasshouse, the Herb Garden, The Fernery, the Rose Garden, a walled Cactus and Succulent Garden and, the latest addition, the Oriental Garden. This is a great place for picnics or sunbathing, and for spotting an ibis or cockatoo.

Great photo opportunities!

Make sure to find time for a walk through the Royal Botanic Gardens. No matter what season, he harbour views and native wildlife are well worth the trip. Located next to the heart of the CBD, there is no reason to pass this up.

Safe, clean, welcoming and free. What else can you want for a quiet wander, picnic or siesta to recover from Sudney's other, more energetic, entertainments. Simply a must visit spot.

I LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF IT, IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AND I CANT WAIT TO GO BACK TO MY SMALL TOWN OF GLADSTONE AND TELL ALL OF MY FRIENDS ABOU IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE BOTANIC GARDENS!!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed the gardens. They were lovely, free, and we took some great pictures. We were there during July so it was a little chilly, but that also meant it was not very crowded :)

Relax in the City Center

The greatest thing about the RBG was the quiet and peace one felt while walking the grounds. There is so much going on in Sydney, and anyone will tell you of the laid back attitude of the Sydneysiders. That is why the RBG belongs in Sydney - they are a quiet and calm in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the downtown lifestyle.

we liked everything about these gr8 gardens in sydney,my school is going there in november 05 &also a ferry cruise. CANT WAIT. this is a gr8 place 4 me & my family when i visited. my aunty also got married in the lovely gardens.

So Romantic ;)

The Botanical Gardens are beautiful. The green trees and soft grass make this stroll magical. There are plenty of benches where you can rest, enjoy the views and steal a kiss from your loved one. Do not miss a romantic stroll in the gardens. The fruit bats are an incredible sight.**Don't forget to look up.

Sunny walk

Sydney Botanic Garden is one of the best kept botanic garden I�ve been to. Their is a beautiful walkway with a great view over the harbour. Came across a children teater company and it seems like everybody was enjoying Wind the the Willowtree. I�ve also enjoy Sydney Symphony at The Domaine, next to botanic garden.

i go back every year

I first went there when i was 20 with a group of friends and our boyfriends. MY boyfriend and I had a pinic there where he proposed to me there. Two years later we got married there and on the exact same day he proposed to me two years later. Now My husband and I and a group of friends go back there every year at the same time and on the 17th of may each year my boyfriend and I go to the gardens and have a pinic as we did 3 years earlier where he proposed.

Beautiful

The RBG had the best views of the harbor and Opera House. It was so beautiful I went back two mornings in a row! I esp. enjoyed the rainforest walk and the Wollemi pine. The Tropical House was under refurbishment when we went so we only got to see a small part but the orchids and carnivorous plants we did see were great.
