The Inverness Angling Club has fishing rights for nearly four miles from the mouth of the estuary along both banks, permits may be obtained from the river watcher, no weekend fishing is allowed, and no day tickets are issued, otherwise from local tackle shops and the tourist office. Fish on Sunday at Loch Ruthven, from a boat and with fly only, permits from: J Graham & Co who also issues permits for Loch Choire and for sea trout fishing along North Kessock.
