Christian Mattos, proprietor of Les Amantes du Chocolate, fell in love with Belgian chocolate during a visit to Europe and has painstakingly imported the ingredients to recreate the sweet treats here – with a touch of Brazil thrown in. Bonbons made with Nutella and cupuacu (an Amazonian fruit), dark chocolate with toasted macadamia nuts, and champagne truffles are among the tempting morsels up for grabs here. The Easter eggs at Les Amantes du Chocolate are legendary, and this is also a great place to pick up Christmas goodies for sweet-toothed loved ones.
