Tambourine Bay Reserve and Warraroon Reserve Walk
Description
Starting at Tambourine Bay pool, this exciting bush track climbs sandstone cliffs and descends into mangrove swamps. Although rough in some areas, the path is fairly easy and is well marked. It is a three kilometers return. On the way, look out for some fascinating rock formations and the remains of an old shale mine. This area is also a good place to see some beautiful wild flowers and the unusual cheese tree, so named because its fruits resemble tiny cheeses. There are also excellent vantage points for a bit of bird watching.
