Circular Quay is one of the busiest, most beautiful bustling ports of departure in the world. The State Transit authority, sightseeing tours, water taxis, and private cruises all depart and arrive from this 'port of call'. The actual terminal itself is a bustling collection of fast food joints, ticket sales, information booths, and buskers and of course, commuters. No trip to town is complete without a ferry trip from this fabulous location beneath the bridge.

the circular quay is the best place to stay when in sydney, from the hotel (the four seasons) you have a view of the hole circular quary,from the bridge to the Opera house . on sunday they have the open market. the jetty you can walk to, which will take you to the towens around sydney.you can walk to sydney tower,enterainment area,stores, restaurants,the zoo is across the bay. 05/07

The parade and the fun of an open air market, all this as well as an assortment of food and street entertainment from classical to aboriginal! alot of fun but the best was seeing a full regiment of pipes and drums in kilts coming down the escalator to the trains playing as they came --I will never forget the day!

Its exciting watching all the people passing through from all the different countries. The opera house the views there is nothing to touch it the botanical garden to sit and watch the world go by, i just love every thing about it not just there but Australia itself

This location is definitely worth the visit. Buy the Day Tripper (cost about AUD 15), which allows you to take rides on Sydney Bus, Train & Ferry for the whole day. Just hop on any ferry, the view is absolutely magnificent. Don't forget to buy gelato ice cream from around Wharf 3 or 2 (very good).
