A trip to Sydney is not complete without seeing this stunning landmark, with its surfers and lifeguards who patrol the beach every day of the week between the yellow and red flags. Bondi Beach, roughly a kilometre long, is enclosed at the north and south ends by headlands. There are numerous cafes and restaurants, as well as hostels, hotels, shops and even a small golf course.
A filthy place which was once the jewel in the crown of Sydney. On one hand the council has tarted up the streets and then the once vibrant shopping strip is disappearing/going broke because of a coucil parking inspectors who are scaring shoppers away. As seen on TV!
It is slowly becoming like Sahara Desert, everyone knows where it is but fewer people than ever want to go there.
Overseas visitors, there are better places like Manly and Cronulla Beaches. Cleaner, classier,and safer.
It was great! I can't wait till the next time we visit down under and check out the famous sights like Bondi Beach. It was a bit crowded though but nevertheless we had a blast and enjoyed our meal at one of the restos nearby.
