Bondi Beach, Sydney

Went to Bondi and drove in circles for a parking spot for over 20 minutes and finally were able to enjoy the scenery and beautiful trees aligning the beach. The atmosphere is very relaxed and yet Australian diplomats hang out here. (smile) All aussies are diplomatic. Have fun!

I spent four glorious months in Sydney and spent about five days a week at this fantastic beach. Bondi (pronounced bond-eye, btw) is home to beautiful people, crystal blue water, and great food. Seriously--check out the food. Start your day off with a Bondi breakfast, chill on the beach for a few hours, head back up to the street for a lunch (I recommend one of the kebab stands, but there's a great yogurt shop there too), and please, don't forget to hit up the Bondi Beach Markets. It's a great place to find cool clothes and handmade jewelry, as well as a really cute line of handbags called Pretty in Pink Sydney. No matter what, you can't go wrong with Bondi. If you're in Sydney, this is definitely a must see!

Bondi Beach is a fun and beautiful place to stay. Lot's of night life, etc, but the beach was the big draw for me. My sons had fun watching the life savers (life guards) go through their drills, and I have to admit, they are pretty impressive.

Bondi Beach is a fantastic site to see. Surfers, celebs and many toursits pack the beach on weekends and during the summer break (dec-march). The crowds can get thick with people and backpackers because of its location near downtown it's highly trafficked. If you want a more relaxed beach, head north to DeeWhy or Manly. If you want a smaller beach, head south along the cliff walk to Tamarama or Bronte Beach

The water at Bondi Beach is like a bathtub. It's best to go early in the morning, before it becomes mobbed and covered with trash. And if you're the least bit prudish, you'd better be prepared for girls swimming topless. Sunsets over Bondi are breathtaking.
