Taronga Zoo? 100% Recommended!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/7/10
TARONGA ZOO ~ Worth every penny (or cent) !! A Beautiful Zoo but much more than~ some other reviewers have said this place is expensive ~ however I disagree as Taronga Zoo isnt just a zoo like others. It is a place where endangered species are helped and the Zoo also Rescue and bring back to health ~ Animals from all over the world!, most of the "Fees" charged goes into this vital programme. The animals live in huge enclosures and much thought goes into their keeping them healthy. The wellbeing of All the Animals, mammals and Sealife in Taronga Zoo is very important and I recommend the Zoo 100% to All

Torongo Zoo - Sydney
By cw, 8/29/09
This is one of the best zoos I have ever been too. Beautiful location and lovely enclosures for the animals. A trip to Sydney must include the zoo. Don't miss the elephants and the red panda!

A Zoo-Lover's Favorite Zoo
By WyldJaguar, 11/28/08
As a person who has taken several trips just to see different zoos, the Taronga Zoo was a required stop while I was in Sydney on my honeymoon and is now my all-time favorite. (In fact, in my humble opinion, the breathtaking view of Sydney Harbor from the bird show amphitheater was my favorite after a week of sightseeing.) The park is basically on a hill, so if you take a ferry/watertaxi to the zoo, take the scenic skyride to the top and work your way down to save your feet. Several exhibits of note – with their ample room and easy viewing, the zoo's great ape exhibits (gorillas, chimps, orangs) should be used as a template for other zoos’ renovations. With “raised ground” and glass, the lion & tiger exhibit was simply awesome, allowing the animals to be at eye-level with the visitor. And, of course, those exhibits including native Australian species were wonderful. The nicely landscaped grounds and restrooms were clean, and the newer food court was pleasant and moderately-priced. An abandoned bear enclosure gives visitors a rare and enlightening opportunity to see how animals were housed behind the scenes “back in the day.” Although the harbor-entrance gift shop seemed a bit bare in looking for Taronga-specific souvenirs of our trip. A beautiful zoo that should not be missed!

I love going to Taronga Zoo. It is friendly and easy to navigate. I would definitely recommend going! It is definitely worth the money but I wouldn't buy any souveneirs or anything. Go for a whole day and explore all the sections and shows - you won't regret it!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/30/07
Excellent arrangement to entertain and take rest in between visiting animals, adequate arrangement for food and visitors. Liked the sky safari, its wonderful. The best time to vicit would be beautiful sunny day with temperature of 20-24. Family with little kids will really enjoy the area as a day of outing. Oveall, it was an excellent day of outing.

nice but overrated and way overpriced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/14/07
It's a nice Zoo - especially if you have kids. The ferry and cable car also makes it very spectacular. However 44AUD is a little expensive. Keep this in mind before you go.
