St. Nicolaas Boat Club (The), Amsterdam

I was on holiday with my sister to celebrate our father's 85th birthday. He was open to try almost all in Amsterdam, so we went on this tour one Saturday morning. The boat Captain had evryone introduce themselves, and when I announced our celebration, the captain said that he was older than the boat! The route was great in that we saw canals that are not large enough for the more commercial vessels. The boat only held about 12 people, so it is very relaxed and friendly. The passengers were encouraged to bring on their own drink and smoke, and we all shared! What a birthday! I would recommend this trip for young and old. Not only do you get to meet new people, you get a brief infomative sightseeing tour and history of the areas you pass by.
