House of Blues Myrtle Beach
House of Blues is a unique entertainment experience. Great art, music, culture and cuisine combine to become a centerpiece of Myrtle Beach's nightlife. There is something for everyone, with entertainment ranging from Murder Mystery Dinner Theater to the World Famous Gospel Brunch, not to mention live performances by national touring artists. Music and art influence every aspect of House of Blues and each area of the venue has a unique personality. Over 600 pieces of "out-sider" art make House of Blues one of the largest folk art museums. The restaurant serves a variety of Southern-delta inspired dishes including Jambalaya and BBQ Baby Back Ribs.
A friend of mine and I went there and were told it was Prime Rib night, 1st one for 19.99 and 2nd one for a penny. We both ordered it, my friend ordered well done and it came back rare with blood dripping from it, the waitress was a middle aged women who kept calling us sexy and sugar and honey, which grated on us. Well they brought the prime rib back and again it wasn't well done, but now was pink on inside, by the time the it finally came back it was 45 mins since it was 1st served to us. Then to top all this off, the waitress brought the ticket and showed me a bill of about $58. and then she said she was going to take off the one prime rib so I said, so your going to take off a penny, She tryed to BS me into saying no that it was $20 for the 2nd one too, I just paid and left a very small tip which I never do, but this time it made me so mad I'll NEVER go there again, and the food was just so so to begin with which was sad the way the had a big picture of their cheif outside. Myrtle Beach has a lot of nice restaurants other than this to go to, go there to see the concert but not the food.
We love the house of blues the building itself has cool blues atmosphere. Remember to look up on the ceiling while you are their. The staff was welcoming and very friendly. The food is also great. So much variety everything from fresh made omlets to steak. Anything and everything you can imagine. We arrived and went to the gospel brunch on Sunday. We loved the band great church and blues music. They get the entire resturaunt involved. Our kids loved it. We will be going back to myrtle beach in the summer and plan to visit again.
