Parisi's of Rose Bay
Once inside, you will be agog at the size of Parisi's--vast aisles filled with all sorts of unusual and exotic fruit and vegetables from all parts of the world (this is the place to impress your foodie friends with your procurement of hard-to-find produce like Japanese pumpkin). There is also a section set aside for salads, pastas and homemade yogurts, and some deli items too. Be prepared to pay a bit more for these top quality items.
i visited this store when in sydney. i was told by the concierge at the Sheraton in Sydney that it was probably the best fruit in the world. I have to agree that it was the best and most perfect fruit i have ever eaten and i have travelled extensively. I'm from America and my corporate position takes me to places everywhere. A friend of mine had a position in Sydney for a while and he swore that this store was unrivalled. I've heard also that Sydney's billionaires shop there. I was helped by one of the three brothers who owns the store. I believe his name was Dominic, looked more like a rock star than a fruiterer. He knew his produce and was so professional. Great experience
