Matisse Art Gallery
Description
Since opening in 1999, the Matisse Art Gallery has dominated the Marrakesh art gallery landscape. Its two floors mainly display modern Moroccan paintings and sculptures from the leading figures of Moroccan contemporary art, exhibited and available for purchase. On the ground floor, one can browse various books and magazines. The gallery is to be found on the somewhat hidden Passage Ghandouri, in front of the RTM. It makes for a nice afternoon break when the 2p sun of Gueliz burns.
