Golden Sheaf Hotel, Sydney

Very disappointed with this hotel as it has so much potential. Stayed here for 5 nights (4 nights consecutive), room was cleaned once on the second night I was there.. and sheets not changed again. 3 Storey walk up, with no lift. Is a 20 minute walk from Edgecliff station, with a very steep incline hill in between. Do not recommend if you need to have an early checkout as the mandatory $50 deposit is difficult to get back. Food wise there is a few quaint Noodle bars, an Aportos, and high end restaurants. There is also a woolworth grocery store next door. Location wise, it is not central to pretty much anything. There is a nightclub downstairs and is VERY loud until 2 AM (12am on Sundays, and is apparently not open on Mondays). Room was cute and seemed recently updated, with private ensuites. Each room had tvs, only one of the rooms had a remote for the tv, and the room with the remote had no light bulbs in the lamp. It's such a shame it didn't live up to it's possibilities. Wouldn't go back.
