Big Mexican Rancho (The)
Mexican with a hint of Aussie goes down a treat at this healthy restaurant. Full of life and atmosphere, it is always packed out with locals. The staff - mainly from Central America - are friendly and helpful. Fajitas offer a classic Mexican taste. Other dishes include Garlic Prawns served with Chorizo and Chile Con Queso - cheese and chilli dip. And save room for a dessert such as Churros with liqueur and ice cream.
A night out with friends and family at this poor exuse for a restaurant has to be one of the most disgusting dining experiences I have ever had.
Started off by ordering Deluxe Nacho's for an entree. When they finally turned up they were just a plain order with ingredients missing. We then waited another hour and a half for our main course though we noticed other tables getting their food quicker, having arrived after us. We finally got the attention of a waitress who at first gave us the 'talk to the hand' gesture and questioned as to why our meals haven't arrived. They claimed that the order was misplaced and offered no apologies. All they could say was that it wasn't their fault. Nonetheless we paid for our drinks and left. This will be one place I will avoid until management changes hands and they learn a little customer service. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Without a doubt the mexican food at the Big Mexican Rancho is the best in sydney. Good value for money, this restaurant hidden in the back streets of Gymea in southern Sydney, offers great service and food that is really tasty. Great as a couple or as a group, evry experience I have had here has been fabulous.
My favouriets are the Nachos with all the trimmings and the Jumbo Taquitos.
