Boathouse On Blackwattle Bay (The), Sydney

This where we take our teenage kids when the event is really, really special. It's literally in a boathouse, with rowing sculls downstairs and glass all around to capture the water views. However, we really come for the food. They have oysters from all over that really ARE freshly shucked. My husband and eldest always order two of each and share a huge platter of them. (obviously, the ones from interstate won't be as fresh as the Sydney rocks, but you should expect this...). Hubby and I really love the snapper pie which is ceremoniously served from a trolley, accompanied by smoked tomatoes (to die for). Middle child has crab which is consistantly well done. Our youngest and oldest both had barramundi last time, which they enjoyed.
