have to try it

I visited The Maltese Cafe in Crown St Darlinghurst and my first impression was that the owners werent about to dolly up the menu by impressing with the decore instead.
The place is famous for Pastizzi and theirs are truly devine. The menu had an assortment of Ricotta, Ricotta & Spinnach, Apple, Beef Curry, Peas, Vegetable Curry, Empanada, Chicken & Vegetables, Chili Con Carne and lentiles. The pastry is to die for, flakey, not oily, light and moorish, quite unlike similar products you would find in the major supermarket chains. You can tell these tasty morcels are hand made with passion. The fillings speak for themselves. Theres a flavour for every nationality made with authentic ingredients and spices that enhance the pastry. All pastizzi are served with an authentic dipping sauce of rich tomato and garlic. The taste experience is quite unlike any other I have had in other cafes.
If your not fussed on decore, then this is the cafe to beat all cafes. It is well worth a look, again and again.
