Araluen Botanic Park, Perth

Established in the 1930s by youth volunteers, Araluen Botanic Park is a superb botanic parkland in the hills area. Surrounded by tall forests, it has spectacular terraced gardens, waterfalls and rock pools. There are picnic, barbecue and restaurant facilities as well as numerous special events held throughout the year. In the summer months, the amphitheater is the venue for concerts or you can catch a movie in the outdoor cinema. If you are in Perth during the spring season do not miss the tulip display.
