Museum Ship Vikrant, Mumbai Central

The historic INS Vikrant is docked in a museum in Mumbai. This huge air-craft carrier, the pride of India's Navy was purchased from Britain and commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1961. It played a crucial role in the Indo-Pakisan war of 1971. The museum reflects the role of the ship in the naval operations. Various missiles, naval uniforms, and diving equipment are also on display aboard the ship. You can also tour along the INS Vikrant and see the hospital, canteen, huge turbine room, and the choppers on the deck.
