We used this Jeweler as previously he has done work for my Fiancee and all of their family with never a problem.
My partner decided to get my engagement ring through Bill and they designed it together. Was a beautiful design but when told it would be ready a week later the plan was made for a proposal, 4 weeks later all plans were ruined as each week we were promised the ring and it never arrived. Finally we got the ring 5weeks late and it was a rushed job. My ring has many faults which Bill said dont worry give it to me the day before you leave for your wedding and Ill fix it then. Ive since had other jewelers opinions and no one will touch it to repair it but have suggested it needs to be remade!
Now I went in Sept 22nd and gave Bill a date of 6th Dec for my Fiancee's wedder. No no he insisted next week it be ready. Here we are 10weeks later still chasing the ring and it was to be ready (this time after asking for our money back) 4 days ago with the promise it would be finished over the weekend and pick up was to be today. Nope, still not ready but now tomorrow it will be he says...We fly out of the country to marry in 4weeks. Financially he told us they were in trouble so now I am worried I wont see my ring or money again. We have since been told the many stories of this company, the poor service and constant excuses. I am in the customer service industry myself and understand the demands of some people but I did make very clear to Bill do not give me a date of completion you have until the 6th Dec. He was the one stating next week not me. If there is a problem with a ring etc, contact the customer its that simple as if theres is an issue we need to know not sitting here wondering or calling, visiting the store.
My fear now is the ring is going to be a rushed job too so will I have to get another ring remade? Yes Bill is polite but you have to be able to deliver on your promises....Very unhappy Customer
My 15 years of buying experience at Exclusive Gold have always been pleasurable, with attentive and personal service you don't receive in other stores.
What people don't realise is that jewellery is an investment, so if my eternity band takes a bit longer than anticipated, I don't mind. Who wants a rushed job when it comes to diamonds?
Earlier this year, I took a photograph of a pair of earrings I noticed a celebrity wearing on the red carpet and they were recreated to absolute perfection. I adore them!
Billy and the team were most accomodating to my budget and his son Chris, designed them so beautifully, he truly has a talent there.
How disappointing it is that people find the need to write bad reviews. I assume these are the people who always complain and find the time to comment on the bad and never on the good. People who post nasty comments are often unhappy with themselves.
Please remember, people in retail are still human, if you are malevolent and discourteous just because you are 'handing over the cash' - they will eventually have a gutful!

he is rude and takes no sympethy for breaking his promises of a 14day completion.
he told us if we dont like it go elsewhere? what md, and who says that?
we paid up front. big big mistake as i would of not bothered persuing this
chris doesnt return calls or emails, is rude, unprofessional and has no business work or customer ethics

appalling service by chris, what a shame and disappointment , his father bill worked so hard to get the name of this business and he has ruined its 'family customer service'
i dont reccommmend anyone to go there as its service is a joke, if you want to waste your hard earned precious time and $$ money then by all means, i wish i listened to every one else when they told me to avoid them. this was a lesson i learned the hard way.
a real disappointng and stressful time dealing with chris especially when i am the paying client :(

Truly amazing the care and concern Billy and his staff have for customers.
You can tell Billy and Chris have been in this industry for a long time and as the knowledge is unsurpassed. I shopped around in the Hay St Mall and the jewellers within and I just felt I was being treated as a mere financial transaction and they really didnt care about how important my engagement ring was to me.
When I entered Exclusive Gold I was greeted by one of the female staff, and when I told them what we were after and important it was that nothing went wrong and my experiences in the mall, she smiled at me and said just sit down and I'll go and get Billy.
Nothing was too much from Billy and I thankyou guys from the bottom of my heart and I would recommend your business to anyone who wants that personal touch and to be treated with style.
Like most reviews here, I was referred to Exclusive Gold by previous happy customers in 2010. My partner loved the engagement ring they made. Unfortunately with the move to the new premises and unreliable staff, the quality has suffered. I forked out several thousand dollars up front in May for my partners wedding jewellery and to date I haven't seen anything. Despite weekly phone calls telling me to come and see the finished product, I've only seen one item and that was wrong. It turns out the work is done by sub-contractors who can't be trusted. If we do get our jewellery it won't make up for the stress and anguish we've been through, or having to visit the shop weekly for 11 weeks for nothing. I would not recommend them to anyone who wants anything under 6 months.
Better quality for the same price. All staff, as well as the owners Bill and Chris, treat every customer as you would your family. None the pushy chain store "service" . I've had 19 years of buying jewellery with these jewellers and referred many friends and clients there. Yes, there was an issue last year where they ran late with ONE item but communication was good and i had all options provided of full refund, credit or wait.
I have worked with many businesses and own my own business. At times there are staffing issues which impact on the business. The concern for me is not that it occurred, but how it was managed.
I do not usually write reviews, but the immature 'throw away" comments in two of the previous reviews annoyed me. I like demonstrated consistency and Exclusive Gold have that as well as the rare fair and up front dealings. I wish them well with the new shop at Barrack St. Tanya
I have had a previous ring done by Exclusive Gold and it was great. However, as you can see from these other reviews, they aren't great anymore. I have now been waiting 4 months for a ring to be made that was meant to be ready before Christmas last year! And management really aren't concerned at all. I'm now waiting on a refund.
In July 2010 I went in to see Bill at Exclusive Gold to have a wedding band designed to complement my existing engagement ring (purchased elsewhere). Bill listened to everything I wanted and made some suggestions for enhancing the design. My fiance and I were very impressed with the quote we received and gave Bill the go ahead.
Today we went in to view and pick up the 'finished product'... and I was completely blown away. Bill and his team exceeded all my dreams and expectations! I cannot stop looking at my absolutely stunning wedding ring, and my only problem is the wait to finally be able to wear it on my finger!!
I would definitely recommend Bill and the team at Exclusive Gold, especially for custom designs!
