This waterside cafe, set in parkland on the Point Walter peninsular, offers an ideal location for a family outing. Children splash in the shallows or tackle the playground, while parents relax over coffee on the patio. The expansive window frontage contributes to the bubbly daytime ambience dining, and adds warmth for evening diners. The menu features exotic flavours from Mexico, Morocco, Italy, China and India such as the Mauritian Creole seafood soup is AUD19.50. Patrons can also relax with a simple Devonshire tea (AUD7 for two).
Had breakfast with 2 friends - paid $25+ each for buffet breakfast which only included basic make it yourself coffee/tea.
The hot buffet was almost empty when we arrived apart from a few tired looking items. Eventually some bacon arrived. 15 mins later out came eggs benedict and 1 hour after several requests the scrambled eggs and tomatoes and mushrooms arrived. The whole morning was an absolute fiasco and very poorly organised and we felt very badly ripped off.
