A Tourist experience at Fraser's

First of all we came to this restaurant after having had dinner at Must Wine the night before. We arrived with two other couples in the entire restaurant and we were seated in a corner with a view of a wall and a partial view of some trees. Actually this table was against a wall, which if you have ever been in this restaurant would agree that there really is only one wall. We had no view. We asked if we could be moved just away from the wall. We were told that the window seating is given in a first to reserve type fashion. Thirty minutes went by and another couple came and seat to our right which put them further into the restaurant and with no view. The same waiter began serving them bread etc and than asked them if they would prefer the window seat. Wow what a slap in the face.
We than ordered our food and he tried desperately to up sell us. We decided to order wine by the glass so we could try two or three different wines and he went so far as to tell us that the wine by the glass was poor and you should order a bottle, instead of advising us as to the better choices of the wines by the glass. We than ordered the small size portions of food so we could sample several things. He than denigrated our food choice.
Finally our food came and it was fine but nothing to make this restaurant stand out above any other Steak and Fish restaurant. Than to top off our stellar night, the waiter charged us for Bread we never ordered.
My overall recommendation is never fall for a tourist trap restaurant. The staff doesn't care if you are happy because you will never come back. It is frustrating that a review is all one can do to warn others of the place.
I would warn anyone visiting Perth to avoid this dining experience as Perth is filled with wonderful restaurants and very friendly people and the city is beautiful and vibrant.
