Indiana Tea House, Perth

Yesterday we attended our son's wedding reception here. The experience was wonderful. Beautiful setting, the service friendly, prompt with attention to detail, apart from the kids meals the food was excellent particularly the melt in your mouth rack of lamb, and their ability to be flexible to fit in with what was required was excellent. Overall, superb!!!

Had lunch here with my brother and sister in law who live in Karrinyup, The meal was pretty good, but quite expensive for the small steak which was served as nouveau cuisine with no trimmings. My husband and I had fish and chips, which was delicious and a good sized portion, and my sister in law had a prawn dish with noodles, which she said was good, but again a very small portion. However we sat by one of the windows overlooking Cottesloe beach and the view was wonderful. It was a beautiful hot day, and Cottesloe was very busy, as was the restaurant, but we were no rushed and the service was good. Would probably visit again when in Cottesloe

WE love the Indiana Tea rooms, and we have been going there for a few years now on special occasions... It has a beautiful special atmosphere - best to go when it's warmer outside and the front is all open - especially to sit and listen to the waves crashing against the sand... The waiters were a bit stuffy and I think they let the place down - a bit up themselves! They need some yound smiley people in there - that don't want to blow their own horn!

Although the quality of the food was acceptable (except tastless Seafood Green Curry and Vegetable curry) the service and and atmosphere was very poor. This does represent value for money. Very, very disappointing!!!
