The world-class Melbourne Aquarium is a fascinating journey into subspace. Ground level houses coral atolls, shadow dwellers and natural born killers from around the world. On level one is the less scary billabong and mangrove swamp, where hands-on activity includes feeding the locals. Subspace 2 is deep sea territory where sharks and other predators prowl inches from your head, literally. The undersea tunnel ends in a theatre and a simulator ride, where you can experience a fish's view of life.
