With much of the Island looking like a barren desert, these dunes provide a welcome retreat for the eye. This massive expanse of dunes, located adjacent to the California Lighthouse , can only be explored on foot, as driving on them is not allowed. During your exploration, take a hike over to the rocky coastline or drink in the view from the lighthouse.
