Numismatic Museum of Aruba
Description
Established in 1981 with the private coin collection of Mario Odor, the Numismatic Museum of Aruba houses more than 40,000 pieces from over 400 countries. Learn about the history of the Caribbean and the rest of the world through this astounding collection featuring mintage from the 3rd Century BC to the present. Particularly interesting is the assemblage of historic Arubian 'chopped' coins which were divided into smaller pieces during a currency shortage on the Island. Admission is free but donations are greatly appreciated.
