The worst dining experience of my life
The food was good, and dishes were inexpensive, but I've never been treated so badly in a restaurant in all my life!
When we sat down, the first thing the waiter reiterated was that we each had to spend $30 per head. This was, to my mind, a strange and overtly aggressive way of making sure our bill was high enough. (Of course we were going to spend more than $30 each!)
Later in the night a friend popped into the restaurant, as we were finishing our meal, and the waitress said that, if she wanted to sit there, she had to pay $30, if she wanted to eat or drink something. My friend decided against this, and I decided to order a bowl of noodles for myself and my other friend.
Thinking that I was secretly going to let my friend eat them -- and therefore evade their $30 minimum charge -- the waitress said to my friend, in a very agressive manner, 'You're going to have to leave the restaurant.'
I can't believe they kicked my friend out of the restaurant!
The staff -- and management, I presume -- were pretentious rule-followers, and were absolutely intent on rapaciously forcing as much money out of us as they could, in the most bold-faced manner.
Definitely the worst dining experience of my life!
