Location definitely helps this make luau a tourist favorite: it takes place four evenings a week behind the King Kam Hotel on a tongue of beach next to the Kailua Pier. The luau grounds merge almost seamlessly with ancient Ahuena Heiau (a Hawaiian sacred spot) making for a breathtaking sunset scene. The luau is fun and the food is filling, although none of it is particularly authentic. Hula dancers and musicians in full regalia entertain as the audience dines on Kalua Pig and Lomi Salmon.
