Big Splash Waterpark, Canberra

the slides were great but the food service was bad

The owners of big splash need to put some time effort and money back into this park.. the grassed areas are in shocking condition.. prickles sticks etc everywhere.. the slides are looking very very old and in poor condition.. the kids had a good time except for the prickles they kept getting in their feet.. i wont go back again until there is major renovation to this park.. it is worth the extra money to travel to "Jamberoo"

Travelled from wollongong this weekend to go to big splash... it has been hot I admitt, but when u charge $20 for both adults and children to use the slides there needs to be some money put into the upkeep of the park itself. - The grounds are in TERRIBLE condition.. dirt and sticks, NO GRASS. Try putting in a rainwater tanks and putting some effort in. where do u excpect people to sit and eat? - The slides are getting old - The toilets were a mess. I dont mind spending money on a day of fun for my kids but they need to think about the customer's comfort. Also the slides didnt open til 11.20am. What was the hold-up??? Sorry for the bad review but they need to pick up their game bigtime.

I took my three grandkids arrived at 10.15am, left 4.15pm, it was a great days entertainment. All pools and slides were excellent, well supervised with friendly staff. Only critism the place is looking a little tardy and needs freshening up, apart from that we thought it a great facility. We would definitely recomend it.

While Big Splash is great for the kids and they enjoyed the day, it was expensive to get in and the facilites are old & tired, the toliets are not checked for toilet paper the doors do not have locks on them, with the volume of people in the park they need to be regularly monitored and cleaned. and there are no hand dryers. The rubbish bins were overflowing, the wooden picnic tables need serious maintenance. The staff need a lesson in customer service. In short a great facilty that needs a lot of TLC to bring it up to both cleanliness and OSH standards.

I took my family of 6 and my brother to big splash water park on february 2nd 2008. It was $6 for adults $5 for kids kids under 2 are free and the slides are 11-5 $20 and 3-5 is $17. I found the waterpark to be family friendly,for little kids from a few months old to the much older adult. There was enough for my little children to do as well as my husband our 5 year old and my brother who couldnt get enough of the slides. There was plenty of shade and plenty of areas to choose from whether it was sunny or shady. There was a cafe there which wasnt even that busy despite some other reviews saying it was a massive line up. There was also a party inside at that time which they looked like they were having a ball!! A majority of the families i saw had taken an esky or a basket with lunch as did we. Overall i can say big splash was the most fun my family had in a long time and it was worth the value. thanks again i will be returning. p.s- MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PLENTY OF SUNSCREEN!!!

really bad too many people lots of kids and no where to relax. the lines were way too long to go on any slides and it took half an hour to get lunch. way too many people!!! if you want to go to a water slide park your better of going interstate.

I liked almost everything! there wasn't really anything not to like....except for crowds..But what do you expect, 'eh? It would be fun for the whole family...Unless you don't like water. I am even thinking of planning a birthday party there. YOU SHOULD NOT JUDGE UNTIL YOU'VE VISITED! So what are you waiting for? Visit Big Splash Waterpark!

I loved the Big Splash Waterpark!! I really enjoyed the slides, my favourite were the racing slides. I went with my school and I lost my tooth while I was eating a muffin. I bought hot chips from the canteen; they were WAY better than the local fish and chip shop. I could tell that everyone enjoyed it and that time flew, because my friend came back for lunch but it was time to go home. I enjoyed BIG SPLASH water park and OF COURSE I'd go back again.
