Plaka Restaurant (The), Canberra

Plaka is a so-so restaurant in the unfashionable Mawson shopping centre. It has been around for years and enjoys a reasonable reputation in Canberra. My own experience about 6 months ago was indifferent, with a rather bored and inattentive waitress and food which was fairly much standard Greek / Mediterranean fare with a heavy emphasis on pizzas. Nevertheless, Plaka could be considered worth a visit as there is not alot of choice in that general area. However, I would not recommend a special trip as there are better value restaurants in Civic, Kingston, Manuka and Griffith.
