South Bank Parklands, Brisbane

There isn't much to do when you walk along South Bank as far as spending money goes but it is a nice little walk for some pretty eye candy. Especially in the early morning when hardly anyone is out yet. Lowlight: There isn't much to do but take a walk and stop at a man made beach (but why do that when the real thing is just miles away?) Highlight: The beautiful bougainvilla accented by the Brisbane river and wonderful skiline of Brisbane itself.

i travelled there 2 years ago . that is a great place. people can swim there. south bank is near the street. people don't need to travel to the beach and can swim there. that is very convinent! i love there. there you can see lots of handsome guys and beauties. great!

i've been in Brisbane for 45 days..its cool and nice place...Southbank, I love it!...i miss the beach, the parks with the beautiful flowers....Everyone would enjoy and love visiting southbank..

If someone comes over to Brisi for one day, Southbank is definitley the place to go to: Street Beach, mini rainforest, good restaurants with good value and cinemas... Check it out!

Southbank has so much to see and do. Theres parklands with bbq's, water to swim in, resturants, markets, a decent pub, shops, city cats leave from the docs there if u wana go for a cruise along the Bris River... Its a great place to check out!

I lived in Brisbane for 6 months and attended "uni" at the Griffith University campus in South Bank. I jot to walk through the entire gorgeous area every day! Always clean, always people enjoying the cafes and beaches, and always beautiful...even if it did rain, which wasn't much. The river runs alongside the carefully landscaped areas, and the City Cat (public boat transportation)has a stop conveinyantly located near the pools! I highly reccommend going, as much as possible...if u like to walk, run, bike, skate...whatever you'll love the river walk. However if you have to drive there, contrary to a previous review, there IS parking. A large lot exists-underground! Who wants to look at a parking lot anyway? Sorry..."car park" haha Enjoy South Bank AND Brisbane...The Valley is a must.

The atmosphere there is fantastic with much to eat and do. However, it's often extremely packed especiallyl during weekends or during school holidays. It definitely is worth visiting for those who's trip to Brisbane is a first and for those who have young children.

i love south bank it was soooo much fun and i want to go there again next time we go to australia!!!! it was loads of fun and relaxing,enjoying and gorgeous

Love South Bank! I took my daughter to Mumma Mia, we walked through the Bogonvilla at night. Went to the markets, had a drink and something to eat. Was a safe place to take my teenage daughter to at night and there was parking if you are prepared to pay for it. We are going out again soon, just to hang out and spend time together.
