Old Caves Winery, Dalcouth

Old Caves Winery is the closest cellar tasting to the centre of Stanthorpe and the philosophy here is "a good wine is one you can drink and enjoy." Walk into the tasting cellar to a hint of port, tokay or muscat in the air. This cellar, which, disappointingly, is not an old cave, does have a fortified wine aroma to put you in the tasting mood. They specialize in brandy, liqueur mead and fortified wine. The red wine, shiraz, is their number one grape, followed by cabinet sauvignon and "Armchair Port" is a great favorite in the fortified wines.
