Description

A tourist icon on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, the Big Pineapple has been delighting visitors for many years. The Plantation Train provides commentary as it travels through the pineapple plantation, stopping in the rainforest and at the animal nursery. Take a tour on the Nut Train through the macadamia processing plant; enjoy the boat ride with its special effects and marvel at the new nocturnal animal house. A restaurant serving scrumptious tropical desserts can be found inside the extensive gift shop. These can be accessed without paying an admission fee.

Its an excellent family trip

I went to the Big pine apple once when i was 5 then again when i was 7 and then when i was 18 and I'm heading back over their now I'm 24 the BIG pineapple has been a BIG part of my life and its such a great place to visit with the family that you wont regret a minute. you learn alot about the history of the pineapples and how they became. So for a great family trip vist the BIG pineapple you wont regret a minute.

Nothing wrong with the place, I just expected it to be more interesting. Found it very commercialized. The tour was certainly not worth the money.
