Huong's Vietnamese and Chinese Restaurant
Arguably one of the best of the many restaurants in West End offering authentic Vietnamese and Chinese food, Huong's has won numerous awards and established a fine reputation along the way. The interior is presented in a formal Asian style, whilst managing to maintain a comfortable atmosphere. The friendly staff is efficient and immaculately presented in traditional Vietnamese dress. The menu includes many traditional and innovative Vietnamese and Chinese dishes, including a vast range of vegetarian meals and some excellent desserts. The Jackfruit with Coconut Ice Cream is a must.

Ate here last night for work chrissy party. Really ,really enjoyed the food. we got some sort of banquet with a combination of thai/vietnamese dishes. food came out quickly and service overall was excellent! will defiantely be going back for seconds..
i have been a few times and every time i find it enjoyable. everything i have ordered has always been really nice and quite large. i found that the service is always very good but i have always been when it is quite quiet. it used to be good pricing and then they jacked up the prices. even though it is pretty pricey i still go at any chance and always enjoy ir greatly.
i do recommend it.
I ordered the fish cakes for entree and the sugar cane prawn rice rolls for my main and a deep fried ice-cream for dessert.
The fish cakes were quite average with sweet chilli sauce on the side and very oily. The sugar cane prawns were slightly better though I question the freshness of prawns. However, tt was fun to roll your own rice roll. The fried ice-cream was covered with dessicated coconut layer and the coating wasn't as thick as it should be. Overall, I thought the food was pretty average compared with other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to.
Service: I went with a group of 9 people and although I got my entree a couple of minutes after I'd ordered the rest of the people on my table didn't and waited for a good 30 minutes before their entree was served. At one stage they even attempted to serve a main course even before the mains had arrived. Further, the bill was asked for 3 times before it eventually came. It was a busy Saturday night and I think the place was quite understaffed. Perhaps the service is better on a weekday.
