The quiet, refined and relaxing Kookaburra Cafe has proven its pedigree and is now a landmark in Paddington's cafe culture. The service is courteous and prompt and the chefs are always happy to adapt their menu to your personal tastes. The intimate, dim table lighting reinforces the natural theme, embodied by the painted pine walls. Caesar salads, pastry dishes and small pasta meals are all on the Kookaburra's menu. Delicious pizzas are priced around AUD15 and can be delivered. Coffee, soft drinks and alcohol are also served.
The Kooka has been around forever in Paddo and I quite enjoy stopping in every now and then. The bloke who owns the place (Steve) is always there and we usually have a chat.
The menu is Italian/Australian. The pizzas are always fantastic and not too exe. Try the Bacon Banana and Chilli - pizza heaven.
The place is actually a lot bigger than you would think - there is an area down the back that is pretty massive where most of the tables are.
Overall: Casual, good food, good menu, not expensive. Big thumbs up from me.
This has been my favorite cafe for many years and i always enjoy the food. (Best pizza i have ever had)
Loacated near all the caxton street nightclubs and parking is not a problem.
Same owner for 23 years (Instills confidence and reliability)
