Pu Kwong Vegetarian Restaurant, Brisbane

The Pu Kwong is a busy and much frequented restaurant. A measure of the quality of the food and the varied menu is how difficult it can be to get a table some nights and how impossible it is to get take away as an alternative on those nights. The new menu is a welcome addition - it has pictures so choosing a meal is much easier - and the number of dishes you have to choose from is huge. If your dining partner has difficulty making up their mind when faced with too many choices - tell them that you'll order or you'll be there all night. Prices are very reasonable - most main dishes come in under $10.00 and the serving size is generous. If you like soft lighting and intimate eating then this restaurant is probably not what you're looking for - there's always plenty of hubbub and it's well lit - but if you like bright happy atmospheres and friendly faces chances are you'll enjoy dining here. Pu Kwong is unlicenced - alcohol is not allowed on the premises - but the food more than makes up for that.
