Henley Beach is one of the two closest beaches to Adelaide central business district and is a favorite spot to cool off after work on hot summer evenings. Henley's bustling centre of beach side activity revolves around the grassy foreshore, jetty and alfresco cafe precinct. There are nine restaurants within the precinct offering a variety of cuisine including Thai, Greek, Italian and good old Aussie fish and chips. With all this temptation to overindulge, it is perhaps no accident that Henley Surf Life Saving Club is conveniently located just off the precinct.
Henley Beach has great outdoor cafes and restaurants, a gorgeous little square, nice sand & swimming, and a long jetty for fishing. It's a top spot to spend the day .. and into the night. My family goes there a lot. Atmosphere is always welcoming.
The beach si superb, the kitesurfing is awesome, the people are generally friendly, it's a good place to visit but try make sure youhave some form of transport whether it's a bike or a car as most conveniences are pretty far from each other. Like bottleshop, cornershop, restarautns. Otherwise, it's a great place to visit.

The locals are cool too, we hung out at Henley square with the local lads, Shersy, Sean and Wade. They were great ! They taught us the common law around Henley, we partied on till 11am .
