Flying Fish Cafe (The), Port Elliot

Set in the middle of a charming little bay, this cafe/restaurant is ideal for long lazy lunches or sunset dinners. The dining room is an elevated wooden deck over-looking the sea, and troops of dolphins if you are lucky! Ceiling-to-floor clear sheeting protects diners from the elements. The fish here is reputed to jump straight out of the sea and onto diners' plates. The seafood is equally fresh and plentiful, but this really is the place for up-market fish and chips with a glass of top-range McLaren Vale wine. Carnivores and dessert eaters will also be happy.
