Old Capitol Museum of Mississippi History, Jackson

If you are wondering what there is to do in Jackson on a boring day I would suggest popping into the Old Capitol Museum. I don't think there is a place with a better educational experience based on the Civil War in MS to be found in the Jackson area. It can be a little dry, and children don't tend to find it that amazing, but if you're by yourself or just bored, I would definately suggest seeing it at least once. But you might want to check first--It is going to be closed for a while thanks to Hurricane Katrina peeling the roof off.
