What beach?
This is not where you'd go to put out a towel, lie down and get some sun. It is mostly breakwater rocks/boulders with VERY little/no sand. For the most part it is a parking lot where you can sit in your car and watch the waves. Swimming is dangerous because of the rocks. Parking is 7 bucks with frequent monitoring to see if you've put your 7 in the parking kiosk at either ends of the lot.
You are better off driving a couple miles south to sandy, towel and swim-friendly Cabrillo Beach.
