Best Tour Ever!

This tour was absolutely fabulous and fascinating for anyone interested in knowing more about the actual history of Seattle or interested in architecture, engineering, gardening, and/or the arts. This is not the kind of tour for people who want to get on and off to shop. Our driver Jim was so knowledgeable and engaging that we felt like we really knew so much more about Seattle. My daughter and I shared the bus with a retired couple from San Diego and a family from London--during the 3 1/2 hours, we all talked back and forth with the driver and each other--it was all so much more an intimate experience than we would have had on a large tour bus group. One week later I am still talking about it to others in Atlanta and one friend has already signed up for a tour in July. Ballard Locks was an incredible experience--we saw baby salmon (fries) going through the locks headed out to sea. My daughter, an engineer, and I loved watching how the locks actually worked. Jim also took us to great views of the city from residential areas that gave us some awesome photos. Hint: the building used for "Seattle Grace Hospital" on Gray's Anatomy is across from the Space Needle--good photo! We later followed up on his advice for restaurants and other tourist opportunities--he was always right!!
