Better than the Rock Hall
By Christine, 9/26/05
The EMP is very interactive, and has great local artist representation. We loved the audio tour and exhibits where you could play instruments, mix, and get 'behind the scenes' info. We hope to get back some day!

What is Paul Allen thinking?
By o, 9/26/05
"Uncle" Paul doesn't really want you to go there; he just needed more closet space. You can sponsor a needy family for a month on the admission price. Shame on you Uncle Paul.

The Mullet Band
By MisMacrl, 9/18/05
I took my daughter there with 2 friends for her 13th birthday present. They had a blast jamming at the On Stage. I like the hands-on experience with all the different musical things. Very much a museum with interaction completely in mind! We will definitely be making a trip back!

OK. This place is not for everyone
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/17/05
Come if you're a music wanna be. Was the experience fun? yes, if you're a masochist. Would you recommend it to others? yes, my fellow masochists. Was it worth the time/money? yes, it's cheaper than most masochist clubs.

Everyone has to go once...
By Sarahnader, 9/10/05
This is a must experience for music fans. One can spend many hours wondering through all of the music memorabilia. They also have lots of things for kids to do as well. GO!

Let's Make it more fun!
By Kane, 9/4/05
To have more fun with it, Start at the Eastlake Shopping Center. Ride the Monorail (when it is not on fire). There you go right through the museum to the Seattle center. Just a hop skip and a jump and you are there! The museum is always revolving with their exhibits, so keep an eye out on the internet or in the papers. While there try to find something that interest you! I did, an ode to faded flannel! (This exhibit was about Nirvana and the garage band era...) And simply enjoy. Just one small set back, You have to wait in line for a Personal Tour Assistant (It more like a PDA type computer that sits on your hip with a screen and headphones that tells you about that certain exhibit, and plays some of that bands songs to you!) Small set back but well worth it! Remember to ENJOY!

Awesome
By Shawn D, 8/24/05
EMP is a music lovers dream. All of the memorabilia and the opportunity to play several instruments makes this a very fun way to spend a day. You can learn about the roots of Northwest Rock-and-Roll, or watch a documentary on Hendrix. Even the building is amazing. A highly recommended place for anyone visiting Seattle.
